more fun

It was Mummy's birthday this week so we got to go out for dinner and to see a show in Wellington. It was about Dick whittington and his cat. They travelled from Hawera (they even showed Mt Egmont!) to Wellington. As it was in olden times they talked about funny money like pounds and pence. Mummy and Daddy seemed to enjoy it to as they were laughing. We had to yell out when the baddy came - he was called the King Rat and was always trying to trick people. (sorry no photos of the show as cameras weren't allowed during the performance)

We had pizza for tea at One Red Dog and DJ and I chose the 'dogs dinner' pizza. It was yummy!

christmas time

Hi there
We are having many parties at the moment. Last week it was afterschool care at which we performed some songs for the parents. See me with my antlers on!
Then earlier the same week we had the Kea breakup. DJ came along too and he couldn't wait to join in on the fun games with the big boys. Are you sure you are only three DJ?

weekend with the gp's

The Gp's came down to visit us for the weekend, Mummy and Daddy went out to a dress up night. Daddy looked funny in his new hat.
The next day we took Grandma and Grandad on a walk around 'our mountains'. We went right up to the top of the hill so we could look down on all of Maungaraki. And I got to take my new back pack, its really cool and great for school. I tell Mummy I'll be able to go on bushwalks all the time with my backpack.

weekends and sunshine

The weather was so good on the weekend that we

got out to the park twice in one day. The first was out to the Kea 50th party (where Mum's battery went flat so sorry no photos) but we had lots of fun with all sorts of activities....I particularily liked the bubble blowing and climbing frames, DJ liked the cupcake decorating and face painting. Later we met up with DJ's friend Jack at Avalon park. We even go to go on the train (we are about half way down). Bring on summer.

walking out and about

Dj and I have been out again on the trails with Dad. We
walked over to KoroKoro and down the Galbratiths Gully track to Petone. I am taking off my boots to drain the water out as we went on the 'wet track'. We had to walk through streams and everything! It was such a long way that when we got to Petone we caught the bus home up the hill! What a long day that was.

disco

Disco is not dead in Maungaraki!

They boys were off to the disco on Friday night. Dad and J as pirates (your costume
has been very popular aunty Hayley) and Dj as a dinosaur. J got into the moves and despite a quiet start was right in to the groove by the end.

more photos

Mum and Dad took lots and lots of photos, it was hard to decide which ones to
blog.

These are our view from the balcony where we were staying (only 2min walk to the beach!) and our visit to underwater world.

Queensland holiday

We had a great time in the sunshine state. We visited the big pineapple (if you look carefully you can see me and Dad at the top), travelled on the train, met our new cousins for the first time (Paiton and Mollie). And DJ had fun feeding the animals.

School Production

I had a long week trying to keep up with my big brother, I made a box bed and it is my favourite place to sleep now.

This is J's school production, they did Robin the Good. J was a raccoon. If you look very carefully you can see him on the stage....

This is a photo of J before he went onstage, can't wait til I go to school so I can do it too!

dad's birthday

Leicester and Nicola came down to visit us for the weekend....

We all had a lovely walk along the Petone foreshore, what great weather you ordered Daddy!

DJ and I got to choose what ever we wanted for breakfast, DJ had a croissant (which I tasted too) and I had chocolate mousse cake! It was yum. And we had fluffies to drink.

That night we helped mum make the cake and decorated it with smarties. I was getting a bit tired by then, it had been a looong day.

swimming star

I have been heading down to the pool this week, its been great just me and one other in the whole lesson! (Must be the cold weather keeping everyone away). Today we got to use shark fins! J would like to try them out I bet. I even practised my floating.

When we got home we helped Mummy make some cupcakes, but J and I decorated them all by ourselves. That icing tasted good.

inside activities

Its been a bit cold again...."Jack frost keeps coming" as DJ says. So we have been keeping busy inside, yesterday I got my new guitar so DJ and I had a jam session (note the decorative stickers - thanks Grandma).

Later we got busy making snowflakes, my new found scissor skill from school.

The last shot is DJ, he was entertaining himself while I was at school and told Mummy he fell into the wahing basket!
