Hawkes Bay

This weekend we were off to Hawkes Bay. It was Sean's 5th birthday and we got to see Leicester and Nicola who we haven't seen for awhile.

Sean's party was cool, we all got waterguns and bubbles and had heaps of fun spraying each other (and sometimes the mums and dads too).

We stayed at the campground in our tent. DJ and I like sleeping in the tent, in fact so much on two mornings we even slept in! (thats 7am, our usual time is 6am or earlier). At the campground they had a humongous (J word) trampoline called a jumping pillow. It was so much fun even Mum and Dad had a go.

We were pretty tired at the end of the weekend, but still just enough energy to try out the double bike, I pedalled DJ around and even tried to take Mum for a ride too.

We were off to another party this week. this time at Staglands. Lots of animals to visit and a swing bridge over the river which DJ and I went over again, and again and again......

We got some cool presents from Santa and DJ got to met batman.

christmas is coming...

Hi
December is here, yay! Although I have been telling mummy that for the last week. Maybe its because we have been talking about it at school and DJ and I have already been getting some presents. Grandma and Grandad came to see us on the weekend and we had great fun. Especially just hanging out and going to the park.
Later when they left to go home DJ and I did some painting in the backyard of christmas decorations and then we got to put up the christmas tree. DJ got a bit mixed up and thought the christmas stockings really were boots for his feet....he walked around the lounge in them saying "ho ho ho, merry christmas".

the hawera show

Hi

This weekend we went to visit the GP's in Hawera. It was the weekend of the A&P show (the hawera show for those Aussies out there).

We went on rides at the show but the best one was the slide....we went down soooo fast. And Grandad even came down with us too.

DJ slept for the first time in a big bed all on his own, lucky he was in his own room as he always tries to wake me up (I get him back in themornings because I always wake up first and then say "its time to wake up Dylan".

On tuesday I went to Kea's again (baby cubs). I got the award for the best behaved Kea of the night and I get a voucher for a pizza (I asked mum if I could have it when I got home....but she said I had to wait) and I get to keep the Kea for a whole week. Wonder what we do at Kea's next week?

party time

Its been a busy week for DJ, having friends over on playdates and going to parties on his own....what a big boy you are now.

On Sunday Dylan went to a spiderman party, and he even got to meet spiderman!

Some redecorating has been going on at DJ's childcare so he got to bring home a bob cutout, boy was he excited to bring that home. Daddy put it up on the bedroom door, its taller than Dylan.

Jakob will be growing fast too as we can't stop him eating at the moment, maybe its school and all his extra activities? (He just started back at gym last week and is now doing Keas as well). You boys will both truly be ready for a summer holiday.

Sunny weather

Yay we have sunshine! It must mean summer is coming. DJ and I are ready to spend some more time outside.

Last Friday DJ and I went to the school disco. DJ thought it was a bit too loud so he had to go home early with Dad. I stayed til the end and then Cason came home to sleepover. It was fun going to the disco, lots of running around but even better was having a sleepover. Dad said we were pretty good.....he only had to tell us to go to sleep three times before we finally did.

On Sunday we went to the cookbook launch at Playcentre. Mummy and Daddy helped out (on the raffle stall and putting up the bouncy castle) and DJ and I just had fun playing. It was cool to be back at Playcentre, and they had some new toys, diggers for the sandpit and a new truck which I had heaps of fun with. We also liked jumping on the bouncy castle, but we were so fast Mummy hardly got a chance to take our pictures.

new term

A new term and here we are celebrating with the first BBQ of the season. Daddy cooked yummy chicken on the BBQ. DJ and I ate heaps. Then for the rest of the week we have wanted to keep eating dinner outside, it just tastes better.

Dj had his first gym class today. He was a pro says Mummy. Probably from all the time he has been watching me, ever since he was born......

And lastly DJ and I using our 'noculars. We were hunting for dinosaurs in the backyard.

school holidays

Yay its the school holidays. I had my school friend Cason over to play. We were making mud in the sandpit. On Friday I went for a bike ride in Wellington with Daddy. We had a picnic at Frank Kitts Park and I went down the lighthouse slide, 5 times!

And the last photo is DJ on the scooter. "the motobike" says DJ, "I am in the picture and Daddy cooking dinner" (Daddy was cooking dinner on the BBQ while DJ was on the bike.

Back to school next week. And DJ is starting gym that will be fun to watch.

what have you been doing?

Hi

We have been very busy this year with me (Jakob) starting at school and Dylan enjoying having Mummy all to himself.

We had a holiday to sunny QLD for Aunty Hayley's wedding and did heaps of swimming! We also got to see some sharks. My favourite, I told Daddy I want to save sharks and go swimming with them.....but in a big cage so they don't eat me.

The final photo is DJ at showtime the annual fundraiser for Belmont Playcentre. He just loves having his facepainted.

Hi all
Long time no hear, we have been having some issues with the computer but all seems much improved now. Here are some pics to get you started:
Its been the school holidays so we have been out and about. Last week it was the pool and TePapa. Rachel, Dylan and I had great fun at story time and checking out the exhibits. Here we are in some of the costumes (me Tui bird, Rachel rabbit and DJ crocodile).
I have been going to visit DJ in his bedroom as soon as he wakes up so there is a shot of us together in the cot. And there is DJ asleep in the highchair - I think I tire him out! He fell asleep whilst eating his dinner.
And last of all DJ and I in our new jackets, thanks Grandma they are really cool and I even found a secret pocket in mine.

Wow - I'm 5

Hi fans,

on the weekend i had my number 5 birthday you know.... It was a shark birthday you know and i had all my special friends to celebrate with me.

Dad made up a really cool laughing shark and we had fun throwing water bombs at him, we were supposed to throw them at the shark but Dad's friends said it was better to aim dad....

After the water bombing finished Mum had made me a SHARK pinata, that was really cool fun and we were blind-folded and had to try and beat up the shark to get the treasure inside.... After the Pinata we had a treasure hunt and the eating of my really cool Shark cake.....

The Big Trip north

Hi all,

i have been really really buisy and forgot to update our activities... Well, to start with mum and dad took us on a really long trip to go see leicester and nikka as they moved all the way to Te Aroha. we had a really good trip up there and they have the bestest pools. I have told everyone that i don;t ever want to go home as the hot pools are too good... check us out....

After that we all went through to Waihi beach and had fish and chips on the beach, it was really yummy and we collected some shells from the sand.

On the way we stopped at the Waihi township and went on an old train to Waikino, Dad and Leicester said it was too early for a beer but i reckon they secretly wanted one and were just saying that to keep mum, and Nikka happy.... Me and Dylan could have done with some liquid refreshments but the Coffee's Dad had brought were no good for us.

It was a really fun visit and we even went to Hamilton to see Aunty Liz, Dad didn't like driving there........

We were really happy to see Leicester and Nikka and want to go back there in the summer....

a weekend away with cool boys stuff

Hi friends....

Me and Dylan went to see grand ma and Grand dad the other weekend, it was a very long trip as Dad said some idiot decided to do road works at peak hour, he wasn't very happy. Me and Dylan were though as we have got our own DVD players in the car and we were watching our movies which was great, Mum even packed a snack for us.

On Saturday we went for a ride on the bikes, Grandad had a trailer and we went to pick up our cousin Bradley, Jack couldn't come as he is too little at the moment and it was a bit cold, the mountain was covered with Snow... we stopped at the bike shop, it was a really neat bike shop, check this out grandies....

After the bike shop we hooned off to the park where cousin Bradley and me went on the cool rocking horse that Daddie used to play on....

After the park we all went back to grand dads and Bradley's mum and dad and baby Jack came round, and i played rugby with uncle Simon and Bradley....

We were really puffed out after that so i had to go and see little baby Jack, he's a good little dood and i really like to see him and give him cuddles..

Later that night Dad and grand dad were playing table tennis, have a look at this, i was doing really good....

The next day we had to go home as i had my best friends (Liam) party to go to....

Wow, what a weekend full of activity..... see you next time.

Dare devil duo

hi everyone,

It's Dylan here, now that i am bigger i am letting Jakob trick me in to doing scary stuff.... you should check out my photo on the big light house slide on the Wellington waterfront...i even did it by myself, but i went past Dad so fast he could not get the camera shot quick enough.

the weather has not been so great so we have not had many chances to go riding on the bikes, mum got a new bike that i won at the pencarrow coast rode, i don't like cruising on it too much as it's girlie pink.....

The next day me and Jakob were playing in the Orange boxes that mummy brought home, we said that we were on a super train with a removable roof... dad was playing with a photo programme on the cooter last night and you can see what he did to us playing in our pretend train, we are in our lounge and really i think dad didn't want everyone to see our old carpet...

hello again

Well we've been away for awhile and now here we are at the end of term one.
I am off to school at the end of next term, its getting exciting now. Mummy picked up my stationary pack today from school, I will have plenty of opportunity to practise my writing skills.

Last weekend we celebrated Dylan's 2nd birthday with a party at playcentre. A great surprise for us was Nicola and Leicester who travelled all the way from Waikato - it was lovely to see them, we miss having you around.
DJ had a great time at the party, I helped him open a few presents and we all enjoyed the spider cake.

Last weekend we went for a bike ride with Mummy and Daddy to the Pencarrow Lighthouse. It was a great day for riding, lots of mud and we got to see a school of dolphins swimming through Cook Strait. They seemed so close. And then an even greater surprise when we got to the end of the ride, DJ had won a spot prize - a new bike (lucky Mummy it was a girls bike).
