NPC disco

On friday night I went to a disco at Playcentre. We had fish and chips for tea and then the lights were turned down for dancing. I grooved along to the Bananas in Pajamas, Bob the builder and many more classics for under 5's. Liam and I had a great time running around and checking out the stereo.
We even got to have a special light each, glo-sticks. Mine was blue and Liam's was red. I took mine to bed that night to watch the light, but by the morning I was disappointed to see thelight had gone.
Here are a few pictures from the night, Mummy tried taking pictures without the flash so you could see our glo sticks.
You can probably guess from the pictures but the dress theme for the night was pj's. So of course I was there in my thomas, pj's and slippers.

teeth??

I have spent a lot of time lately with bright red cheeks and chewing on my fists. Mummy suspects my teeth may be getting ready to erupt. Besides my hands I quite like the ring toys at the moment too.

breakfast in bed

In the mornings I get up out of bed and go in to see Mummy and Daddy. Most times Dylan is already there having his breakfast milk with Mummy. This is a picture of Dylan and I having breakfast in bed last week. Dylan keeps looking at my toast but Mummy says he can't have any yet.

gym class

It was the final week of term last week and I got my certificate for gym. Mummy says she can see me getting more confident on the apparatus now. I enjoy the balance beam but the best fun is jumping off onto the big mat.
Dylan helped me to collect my certificate and he enjoyed rolling around on the mats too.

Bruce the shark

My new friend Bruce and I were having breakfast together the other day. (I have to feed Bruce as he makes a mess with his fins).

Daddy's birthday

On Wednesday it was our Daddy's birthday. He didn't want a party but we invited our Godparents around for dinner. Daddy made a yummy dish called Rogan Josh....but it was a bit too hot for me! (I'm sure Papa would have enjoyed it).
After dinner Mummy had made Daddy a cake with candles. I helped Daddy to blow out the candles as I have lots of puff.

party time

Today Jakob and I went to a party at MacDonalds for James' 5th birthday. James' grandad bought along his guide dog so Jakob just had to go and pat him. Anzac (the dog) came to visit me in the pram too, he stuck his head in to say hello and I smiled back (Mummy was too slow to get the camera out to catch that one).
Jakob had lots of fun on the playground and then was enticed to the party table for lunch and chocolate cake. I eyed the icecreams but Mummy wouldn't let me have any, but I'll be ready for icecream soon I'm sure.
I tried on Jakob's party hat (see photo) but the best part was chewing on the hat afterwards. Mummy suspects I might be starting to teeth as I enjoy chewing everything at the moment.

chores......

Yesterday Mummy decided it was time I started cleaning my own shoes. I have been getting them very dirty lately playing in the sandpit, jumping in puddles etc.
So I started by cleaning off the mud and then went onto using the polish. Daddy says I did such a good job I can do his now too!

visit to New Plymouth

Last week we went to Taranaki and visited New Plymouth. Dylan and I went to the museum with
Mummy and Daddy. I saw a huge shark stuck up in the ceiling and got a bit worried about going underneath. But then Daddy and I went up together and it wasn't so scary after all. In fact I loved the sharks so much Daddy got me one to take home...a big cuddly one. I kept him close by all day, his name is Bruce the shark and I even took him on the slide with me.

After lunch Mummy and Daddy found a great park for us to play at, it had swings and slides and climbing frames. Dylan went on a swing for the first time and Daddy and I went on the double swing.

Wellington Zoo

On Wednesday I met my friends Una and Laura at the Zoo. We had a lovely afternoon wandering around looking at the animals. I even saw some cheetas going for a walk! I kept Mummy smiling by saying 'whats that noise?' every time I heard a new animal. But I had her stumped when I asked what noise should a giraffe make.
I really enjoyed the sunbears and the giraffes. Although I quite enjoyed watching the otters swim around. We heard the chimpanzees but they wouldn't come out to play.
Dylan came too but seemed to prefer snoozing in his pram to watching the animals, maybe next time?
