Jakob hot on the trail of Santa

When i woke up on x-mas morning, i found evidence of Santa and his naughty reindeer, the reindeer had eaten the carrot and done poo's on the floor... i tracked him down and found that they escaped out the door before i awoke.

Then after i looked more i found santa had eaten the pie and drunk the beer.... he must get a full tummy with all those beers and pies...

After our breakfast we cane back for lunch at grand-ma and pa-pa's and everyone was around. Me and my cousins had great fun unwrapping more pressies.

Dylans first Aussie X-Mas

On the Friday before x-mas we went for a drive to the airport and got on the Jet, then we flew all the way to Melbourne to see grand-ma and Pa-pa. Jakob and me had fun on the plane. When we got to Melbourne daddie got grumpy as the useless baggage people had lost Jakob's bag and i think dad let them know.
Here's some photo's of me and my cousins at there place formy first x-mas breakfast.

(early) christmas dinner

Tonight cousin Bradley came for dinner at Grandma and Grandad's house. We had dinner at the big table with the grownups. And after dinner I read a story to Bradley from my new Thomas book.

We all had a bath together. It was great fun in the bath, enough room for us all.

off to Hawera....

I went to visit my Grandad and Grandma in Hawera this weekend for an early christmas. Jakob and I had lots of fun visiting. And as a special treat we got to open our christmas presents early. Thats me showing off my new Thomas shirt. Jakob can't claim it as it is too small for him, but his thomas bridge looks interesting.........

We went swimming in the morning. I showed off my skills on the kickboard (you can see Jakob and Grandad in the background).

Tonight our cousin Bradley is coming for dinner at Grandma and Grandad's house. So hopefully Mummy and Daddy will get some photos of the three of us together to blog.

....and more christmas parties

Well it was a big weekend for christmas parties. On Sunday we went to Raumati Gardens (on the Kapiti Coast) for Daddy's work christmas party. It was a cool park with heaps to do, including a train! Dylan and I went for a ride on the train, but I went on the most .... 7 times around the track and only the temptation of lunch could get me off.

After all the excitment of the train we also had Father Christmas and Barney arrive. I got a floor puzzle and despite my requests Mummy made me wait til I got home to open it. Dylan had his first experience of opeing a present and he really did seem to enjoy the wrapping paper.

Later that afternoon I had a relax in my chair. Dylan was enjoying being outside too.

We both had a snooze in the car on the way home. What a weekend.

christmas parties

On the weekend I went to Chipmunks for my childcare christmas party. There were lots of great things to play on but I especially enjoyed the slides. I even showed Mummy and Daddy how brave I was by climbing up to the big slide all by myself. (the ladder was about 5m up).
The picture was one Daddy took of me coming down the tunnel, I think Mummy was a bit scared?

Then after the party we got to go to Deon and Nicky's for dinner. It was lots of fun because Ethan let me play with all his toys. I even got to go on the trampoline and then we did some diggin in the sand pit. What a busy weekend, and there was more the next day.......

The Plops

Hi from Jakob.
Last Friday Mummy, Dylan and I went to see The Plops in Wellington. (They are a Lower Hutt children's group). It was a christmas concert. We went in on the train and went to see Santa at Kirks (Wellington department store). Then it was off to Capital E the venue for the concert. When we were there I met up with some of my friends from Playcentre.

It was pouring with rain that day and I got soaked. But it was all fun. Ashlee and I tried to aim for all the puddles on the way back to the station.

Check out my dance moves baby!

feeling much better

Hello from Dylan.
I am feeling much better this week. Mummy and Daddy are glad to see me smiling again. So now I'm all set for my big trip to Australia.

jakob's week

Hi
I have been really busy this week. I got to go to Liam's house to play on Tuesday and then on wednesday he came to my house. Then on Friday Alexander came for morning tea (thats us enjoying our muffins). On Saturday I had a gym exhibition (Uncle Leicester took some photos so you can see those next week) and then that night I had a pool party. I got to see Father Christmas at the pool, he came on a motor bike and had chocolates (my favourite).
Aunty Nicola and Uncle Leicester looked after Dylan because he had chicken spots and couldn't come to the pool.

Love Jakob.

dylan and slinki

Jakob let me have a little cuddle with slinki malinki. I didn't have him for long as Jakob wanted to put him on the christmas tree (thats what slinki does in the story).
Unfortunately my week hasn't been too good since. I managed to catch chicken spots and one of my teeth is coming through. Its been a long weekend and I'll be glad when the itching stops.....

my new pet

This is a picture of me and my new pet Slinki Malinki. I won him in a competition when I went to Tepapa for the book reading. He even gets to sleep with me in bed.

christmas parade

On saturday Mummy, Daddy, Dylan and I went to the Hutt Christmas Parade. We all went on the bus and I really enjoyed telling Daddy about everything I could see out the windows.
I sat next to James to watch the parade. It wasn't very exciting at first, and the wind was blowing so strong Mummy took my hat off in case it blew away.
Then I saw some cool floats. I especially liked the pirate ship, and I saw my friend Liam on the Playcentre float. But my favourites were the reindeers and then of course Father Christmas.

Dylan

All this extra food I have been eating has given me lots of energy. And Daddy says I am getting louder all the time (I have to, to be heard over Jakob). Here are a few photos of me this week. Eating my favourite toast with vegemite. Jakob calls me the vegemite monster.
And playing with my toys, its more fun to pull them out myself.
And finally, I joined Jakob and his playcentre friends at Junglerama in Wellington. I had a great time in the ball pit.

brekky for me

My world of food is expanding. I prefer pumpkin and banana to all other foods at the moment. Although I am partial to a bit of toast. Jakob says I should try something called vegemite? Maybe Mummy will let me have some next week........this toast is rather plain......

pirate jake

I was having fun with my dressups. I had my pirate scarf and sword and I used a gladwrap roll for my telescope ('noculars I call them). And I was into character so much that I got the washing basket out for my boat and got Mummy to put Bruce the shark in the 'ocean' next to me. I entertained Mummy and Dylan by singing Row Row Row your boat. I asked Mummy to sing some pirate songs but she didn't know any but suggested we might have a look at the library next week.

disco man

The other night I saw Dylan jumping in his jolly jumper and I said "lets disco dance dylan" and we were off. I held his hands to help Dylan turn around. He laughed a lot and I liked dancing with him.

foot painting

We had to get some artwork done for a calendar so Mummy decided to get our footprints. I helped to paint Dylan's feet (he didn't really like it that much) and Mummy painted my feet but I kept laughing because it tickled so much.

The Hairy Maclary Big Day Out

It was a really warm day out on Saturday as we started off on the train then walked down the beautiful Wellington water front to get to the Museum of NZ.
Dylan and I were with Mum and Auntie Nicola to go to listen to the book reading of the latest Hairy Maclary story called Slinky Malinki's Christmas Crackers. The book reading was done by the author, Lynley Dodd, and i even

got a copy of our book signed.

After the reading we had some playtime and i wrangled with a dinosaur at the museum and Mum even caught me in action. After that we had lunch in the cafe and i ordered a taosted sammy from the lady at the counter.

We then went back home on the train later that afternoon, after we both had a sleep we went over the hill to Wainui to pick Dad up and help uncle Deon with the last of the moving, but Uncle Deon and dad were busy having a beer, they declined to having there photo taken.......

gingerbreadmen

The weekend had some really bad rain and wind, so Mum and me decided we should make some ginger bread men, it was really neat making the dough and cutting them out to my favourite shapes. Then, after we baked them, Dad and me ate them all up....they were really nice.

dylan

Hi
Here I am again lying around in the lounge. Today I was checking out cranky the crane, he looks rather interesting for further investigation.......
Jakob has been restricting my toys lately saying "its too small, Dylan will choke it". (adlibbing Mummy and Daddy who said Dylan can choke on the small pieces).

jumping beans

Mummy must have fed us some jumping beans as we had lots of fun jumping the other night. Me on my moonhopper and Dylan in his jolly jumper. We had a great time, especially with music on the stereo to move to.

my first.....

Hi
Today J and I met up with Grandma and Grandad in Levin for lunch. We had a picnic at the park, but we had to have it inside as it was raining. Lucky they had an inside picnic area there, even a high chair for me!
I got to try my first chocolate bikkie, I was dubious at first but then decided it was OK.

I hope the weather is better next time as I want to go on the swings and J said there is a train there too. You can just see the park in the background. Mummy said this was the park we visited on easter sunday....and we know what happened that day!

I was playing with Jakob's football, I like the feel of it maybe I could play AFL?...........

dinnertime for dylan

Today I tried my first solid food. Mummy mixed up some baby rice for me. I took to it straight away. Straight down the hatch, no spitting out for me! I even tried putting the spoon in my mouth, theres no stopping me now.

making pizza

This is me helping to make dinner the other night. After hearing daddy say we were making the pizza bottoms I christened them with a new name - pizza bums.
I started off by helping Daddy to make the dough in the bread maker, then I rolled it out and added the toppings. The ham was my favourite topping, but I enjoyed spreading out the tomato paste.

Dylan

Hi, Here I am again, this time I am in the kitchen. I like to be where the action is so Mummy set me up on the floor so I could watch. I am quite happy to spend ages lying on my tummy, especially with a few of my favourite toys around.

trainspotting with daddy

On sunday Daddy and I went to see a train display, and guess who I saw there.....thomas the tank engine! I had so many engines to look at I was racing all over the place but Daddy managed a few quick shots when I did stand still.
I liked watching the engines coming out of the tunnels, they came around so fast. Also I saw some lego thomas, it looked really good to play with. Maybe if I'm a good boy I might get some for christmas?
