The weekend had some really bad rain and wind, so Mum and me decided we should make some ginger bread men, it was really neat making the dough and cutting them out to my favourite shapes. Then, after we baked them, Dad and me ate them all up....they were really nice.

Here I am again lying around in the lounge. Today I was checking out cranky the crane, he looks rather interesting for further investigation.......
Jakob has been restricting my toys lately saying "its too small, Dylan will choke it". (adlibbing Mummy and Daddy who said Dylan can choke on the small pieces).

jumping beans

Mummy must have fed us some jumping beans as we had lots of fun jumping the other night. Me on my moonhopper and Dylan in his jolly jumper. We had a great time, especially with music on the stereo to move to.

my first.....

Today J and I met up with Grandma and Grandad in Levin for lunch. We had a picnic at the park, but we had to have it inside as it was raining. Lucky they had an inside picnic area there, even a high chair for me!
I got to try my first chocolate bikkie, I was dubious at first but then decided it was OK.

I hope the weather is better next time as I want to go on the swings and J said there is a train there too. You can just see the park in the background. Mummy said this was the park we visited on easter sunday....and we know what happened that day!

dinnertime for dylan

Today I tried my first solid food. Mummy mixed up some baby rice for me. I took to it straight away. Straight down the hatch, no spitting out for me! I even tried putting the spoon in my mouth, theres no stopping me now.

making pizza

This is me helping to make dinner the other night. After hearing daddy say we were making the pizza bottoms I christened them with a new name - pizza bums.
I started off by helping Daddy to make the dough in the bread maker, then I rolled it out and added the toppings. The ham was my favourite topping, but I enjoyed spreading out the tomato paste.

Hi, Here I am again, this time I am in the kitchen. I like to be where the action is so Mummy set me up on the floor so I could watch. I am quite happy to spend ages lying on my tummy, especially with a few of my favourite toys around.

trainspotting with daddy

On sunday Daddy and I went to see a train display, and guess who I saw there.....thomas the tank engine! I had so many engines to look at I was racing all over the place but Daddy managed a few quick shots when I did stand still.
I liked watching the engines coming out of the tunnels, they came around so fast. Also I saw some lego thomas, it looked really good to play with. Maybe if I'm a good boy I might get some for christmas?

Belmont Playcentre Showtime

Jakob here, reporting from Belmont PC showtime. It was a fun morning of plays followed by time in the centre grounds checking out the equipment. Mummy says it is their major fundraiser for the year but I think its something cool to do in the holidays.

Some plays were put on by the parents, my favourite was 'How the elephant got his long nose' and then a sausage sizzle (my first, and it was gooood) I even managed to convince mummy to get me some lollies.

And how did the elephant get a long nose? The crocodile streeeetched it when he was being nosey.

My Mummy caught this quick snap of me relaxing on the back steps. I enjoy being in the outdoors where I can watch the world.
The second snap is of me demonstrating my solo sitting. I am staying upright longer everytime. I usually topple over when trying to grab my toys.....which mummy puts just out of reach. I think she is trying to get me to move? Soon enough heh heh.
