A very Naki x-mas

howdy sports fans...

Well, me and my little bro (dad now calls us 667 & 668) had a really cool trip to visit our NZ Grandies in Har-rah, that's how Dad says it, (we think it's supposed to be Hawera) as it was the NZ x-mas this year.

We started off our adventure with a trip to the Petone Club to have lunch with Leicester and Nicola and swap santa presents. Me and Dylan got Light' McQueen sleeping bags and we gave L & N a deluxe version of Scrabble as they are moving to Matamata.

On the way Dad got a bit grumpy as the traffic was really really slow but after a while (like 2 hours) we made it to Levin.... after that it was plain sailing.
When we got to Har-rah we raced off inside to play and see the grandies but before long we were very tired and had to go to bed.

But.....the next day, Dad put the bikes on the car and we all went to New Plymouth for a cruise along the water front track which is 12km return, It was really cool as me and Dad got sprayed by some waves but Mum and Dylan snuck through.

Then we went home but on the way Mum and Dad stopped to buy our very first tent, me and Dylan had great fun playing i the tent in our sleeping bags, check out the pic.

That night me and Dylan had to go to bed early as it was x-mas eve, we put out some carrot for the Reindeere, a Tui beer for Santa along with some Chocolate fish. When Dylan went to bed, he decided that he was going to be a big boy and sleep in mum and Dads bed and have a wee read.... check me out.... this was unstaged!

After our really big sleep (2am) when i snuck past mum and dads room and got one present open before i was snapped i got sent back to bed, then we got up again but could do our presents till after we had our Ham on toast.

Then came the big moment.... here's us in action opening the goodies the got left for us...

Later in the day we had our cousins come in for dinner and more pressies, we had such great fun, here's some photo's of us all together just after opening our pressies, during our dinner and Me and Bradley....it was a really cool trip and our Uncle Simon calls Dylan Yoda now, we thought that was really funny.....

music time

Hi

This week was the last week of term, so it was the last week for music class :(.

Helen let us play with the instruments this week and Jakob and I both had our favourites, mine is string instruments (I love the guitar at home, and now I have a ukelele too - thanks Denise) and Jakob's favourite was the trumpet - he can make really cool sounds. Mummy thinks his great breath control is why he can be so loud at home.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hope Father Christmas comes to your house.

Love Jakob and Dylan.

party party

Hi

We've been quite busy lately with christmas celebrations. Lots of parties and even a birthday party to attend. This week it was childcare and Daddy's work party.

Here is a photo of Dylan and I helping to make the chocolate crackles....lucky Mum made extra mix for us as we did a lot of tasting.

For Daddy's work party we got to travel on a big red bus. It was lots of fun (and very noisy Mummy said, must be why Daddy offered to drive the car by himself to meet us at the park?). We sat at the front up the top so got to see everything on the way. When we got to the park there was a wading pool and a train to ride. And then after all that Father Christmas arrived, we were very lucky this year and I got a meccano set. Daddy (and Mummy) have had fun helping me to put it together, so far we have made a helicopter, a motorbike and a boat.

Mountain bike madness

hi all,

This last weekend Dad decided we should step up the mountain biking and get really muddy, i think by the sound coming from his lungs he was regretting it after towing me all the way to our rest break. We were in the Karapoti gorge where the serious MTB'rs go for fun and silly Dad decided that we should all go. I reckon it was about 4 km of incline over really bumpy muddy track, but it was really cool as me and Dad got covered in lots of Mud on the way back and crossed a river or two and even went through some really big puddles, then at the end we saw a big black Pig that some hunters had killed in the bush and were bringing it out to there van on a 4wheels drive motor bike.

Check out the rest stop photo at the bridge....

After we all had an exhausting ride in some of Wellington's best weather we really needed a rest and a beer or two, you can see how chilled out i was sitting back in the sun....

then earlier in the week me and Mum did a sneaky trip to Kirkaldies (Wgtn's Myer store) to get a sneak preview of Santa... i said i was being really really good and Santa said me and Dylan were going to get lots of really cool presents...if you promise to be good you can have a look at Santa before x-mas too....
