Wellington; "The riviera of the Sth Pacific"

Hi all,

well it's been so hot here that Muma and Dad have been making us have dinner outside most nights which has been really cool... Mum had a good idea to let us have a wash in the laundry bucket outside, check me out... Jakob got camera shy as his muscles are too big to go on the cooter (computer)

Then, at the weekend when mum was busy at work, Dad took us into town on the water front, he kept on saying that he loves summer for some reason? i think me and Dylan may find out what he means when we get bigger... anyways, after we left te poo poo (the museum) we went to the park and were cool bikers... check us out... after that we had to go and have some pub chips and dad had a beer because he said man is not a camel...what ever that means.... i said i am a shark and don't need a beer so had a lemonade with Dylan.

Lastly, for this week me and DJ went to the berry farm north west of upper hutt, it was a long way to go but we enjoyed picking berrires (well, DJ did) i was too busy running through vines playing... why work when you can play.... stay in touch for next weeks installment, we promise lots!

Jakob's week

Mummy has been taking some pics of my week, I had Una over to play on a very sunny day (it got to 29oC in Wellington). We had fun on the waterslide and afterwards sat down to have afternoon tea. Dylan had to join us too, he thinks he is four and copies me all the time.

We had fun playing superheroes. I am batman and Dylan is superman. We run around the house to make our capes fly, and make lots of noise....Mummy says we make better superheroes outside.

Dylan's week

Hi

This week Mummy and Daddy have been very proud of me as I have been using the potty. It all started when I was trying to follow Jakob into the toilet and I was taking off my nappies when they were wet, especially in bed....it gets so hot (Wellington had 29oC the other day!) that i just feel better to strip off, lucky no accidents in bed so far.Anyhow I did the deed in the potty while eating my toast, then I had to get up and show Daddy, I was very proud of me too.Later that week I tried eating my tea with chopsticks, it was slow but fun, lucky Mummy has the cloth under my chair.Back to enjoying the sunshine, long may it last.

summertime

Hi

We've been enjoying the sunshine and visiting with friends over the last week. Alexander came to play on Wednesday and we had a great time racing around. Especially climbing over the swing set, what monkeys we are.

Then on the weekend my friend Liam came over for dinner with his Mummy and Daddy and baby brother Jared. Dylan and Jared were playing together with the swing ball (totem tennis). It was great ebing outside to play, Daddy says Dylan and I are turning into little brown berries.

And we got new camp stretchers for the tent. Dylan and I liked them so much we had our naps on them and I have been sleeping on my most nights. Very comfortable, I can't wait to try them out in the tent.

Off for some rest days at childcare tomorrow (is that for us or for Mummy?)

Love Jakob and little bro Dylan. (Who has been finding the weather rather warm at night - Daddy has discovered him lying in bed with his pj's striped off and the nappy!)

Happy New Year

Hello and welcome to 2008. We have had a lot of fun in the sun for the last couple of days. The sun that didn't shine at christmas has been out inforce now.

We even had a water slide to play on, Dylan wasn't too keen on the spray but I did a coupleof runs down the slide, photos next time I get on!

I have been helping mum in the garden, I have been wanting to use the hedge clippers for awhile, so I finally got my chance when I helped mum trim her garden (dad called it the weed patch). And we helped mummy and daddy to put the new tent up in the front yard. Can't wait to get our camping in that.

Dylan has been enjoying all his new chirstmas toys, and some of mine, mummy says I have been a good boy to share with Dylan. We both enjoy the new lego we have and Dylan was playing with his all over the lounge and then into the dinning room. He was playing tunnels under the chairs with his thomas train.

Lots of love to everyone and we hope to see you all in 2008.

Love Jakob and Dylan.
