I was there too!

Hi

I was having fun in Taranaki too last weekend, but I didn't get to go to the museum - they left me at home to have a sleep!

I had fun going to the park, it was a good thing I still had my bike helmut on as with all the clothes Mummy had put on me I kept falling over.

I also spent some time playing with the blocks at Grandma's house, I am very proud of my tall towers, I just kept stacking them higher and higher.

Taranaki

Hi

Last weekend we went to Taranaki to visit Grandma and Grandad. On Sunday Mummy and Daddy took me to Tawhiti Museum. I had a great time looking at all the exhibits, but was a bit scared of the Maori wars sections - it was all dark and with eery birdcalls around. I was glad to get out to the sunshine where I find lots of cars and tractors! I had a great time checking them all out and I even got to climb in to them. Here is a few shots of me in a couple of the vehicles - there must have been over twenty and I sat in just about everyone.

the zoo, baking and parcels!

Hi

The start of this week was exciting with the arrival of a parcel from Grandma and Papa. They had been away and sent us a parcel of goodies from the their trip. It was very exciting to unwrap the parcel, I didn't even have to wait for Mummy as Dylan and I could get it open ourselves. We got new hats and tshirts and an animal each. Dylan got a wallaby - Daddy says its a funny Australian animal (?!) and mine was a crocodile - croccy the crocodile I call him.

On wednesday, 4yr old session (for Playcentre) went to the Wellington Zoo. We went in the car with Mummy and Nicola and we had a picnic lunch before going off to see the animals. We saw giraffes, tigers, a porcupine, laughing chimpanzees and a lion lazing in the sun. And there were also some new baby bats, they were funny they hang upside down all the time. Best of all we got to see a Kiwi up close. We had to be very quiet so he didn't get afraid while the keeper fed him some lunch. We couldn't take pictures as the flash would scare him.

On the weekend Mummy and I let Dylan help us with some baking. He helped us make some special chocolate chip cookies - "without the wheat in them, so Dylan can eat them". Dylan especially liked using the sifter but Mummy said it was tricky to get a picture as when she went to get the camera DJ would start sifting flour everywhere.

playtime with Daddy

Hi

This week we have done heaps with Daddy. It all started with a bike ride into Wellington (and we managed to get Mummy on her bike too). I had my bike joined to Daddy's and Dylan rode with Mummy. And we got to stop for a chocolate fish for morning tea - yum.

This weekend Daddy, Dylan and I had fun playing all sorts of music. Mummy got this shot of us having a music jam session. We like to have the music loud and jump around, Dylan loves his drum.

Then today after Daddy had washed the car I helped him drive it into the garage......can't wait to drive, I am already very keen on Daddy's scooter (sorry Grandma - if it has wheels I can't help it).

Love Jakob and Dylan.
