grandies on tour

This weekend Grandma and Grandad came to visit us. Mummy and Daddy were going out so they stayed to look after us on Friday night. We had lots of fun, reading stories, playing with thomas the tank engine and doing jigsaws. Dylan was happy to just sit on the couch and be cuddled.
I stayed in Dylan's room so I had to sleep in the campbed. In the morning I went to visit Grandma and Grandad in my room. I climbed up to the top bunk and Grandma read me stories in bed.
On Sunday Grandad went swimming with me at the pool. I had lots of fun splahing around and then I wore my goggles when Grandad took me in the big pool.

TePapa visit

On Thursday I went to Tepapa (the NZ national museum in Wellington) to go to story time with my playcentre friends. It was lots of fun, especially as the theme was Dinosaurs - and I am really enjoying dinosaurs at the moment. There were lots of cool puppets, and I thought the dinosaur in an egg one was pretty cool.
I asked lots of questions when our guide was talking to us and reading some dinosaur stories. After the stories we got to play, I was collecting the vegetables out of the garden and taking them around in the wheelbarrow. And I found a dinosaur tail to wear. Mummy said she will make me one to have at home.
After story time we went out to the courtyard to have our morning tea. It was very sunny, lucky I had my thomas hat with me! Liam and I climbed up and down the ampitheatre stairs and I kept shooing away the pigeons and ducks. I said "go away and don't eat my lunch" when they kept trying to see what I was having for morning tea.
It was a very busy morning but lots of fun. I wonder what is on at storytime next month?

Out and about

I went with Jakob to TePapa on Thursday with his playcentre friends. I enjoyed laying around and checking out the baby toys. The soft skittles were my favourite. I surprised Mummy by staying awake the whole time we were there. I love new environments.

I can sit by myself

Look I am sitting at Jakob's table by myself! Well almost, but I am getting rather good at sitting up. In my bouncinette I am always trying to lean forward to grab my toys. Daddy says it is good for my tummy muscles.

baking

I decided to do some baking today. I made playdough dinner for Mummy and Dylan.
I asked to put on my apron and then got out the playdough equipment. I cut out shapes and used the rolling pin. Then I cooked it in the frypan then I served it up on the plates (thanks Aunty Hayley for your old teaset).

storytime

Yesterday Daddy and I went to the library to get some new books. I even chose some for Dylan but he seems more interested in listening to my stories.
I helped to get my books out of the library by using the automatic book scanner. It makes a funny beep noise when I put my books up to be scanned.

my new bed

Mummy decided it was time I moved to the big cot. I have grown too long for the bassinet when I stretch out. This is a picture of me in the big cot for my first sleep....it was very enjoyable, at this stage my morning nap was already 2 hours.

winter blues

I have been spending a lot of time at home lately due to the cold weather.

Lucky for me I can keep watching my favourite movie, over and over and over again. Mummy says she just about knows all the dialogue now.

I'm looking forward to some sunny days then maybe my cough will go away too.

I love the camera

Look at me, I love the camera already. I am happy to pose on the floor for Daddy while he clicks away with the camera. I'm spending more time on my tummy now, my arms must be getting muscles from all my pushups.
